HMT to Release Debut Album “Lost and Found them” After a Year of Silence— Tokyo’s anonymous hip-hop collective finally breaks cover on June 28

HMT, a Tokyo-based hip-hop collective, will finally release their long-awaited debut album, “Lost and Found them”, on Saturday, June 28, 2025. After spending a full year building their following solely through live shows—without releasing a single track—they’re finally breaking their silence.

To celebrate the album’s release, HMT will host a pre-release event titled “FXIRTRADE vol.6” on Friday, June 27 at Daikanyama ORD. These two days will unveil the full scope of HMT’s long-hidden identity.

A year of no streaming—now leading to their first body of work

Formed in May 2024, HMT is a rising collective that recently marked their one-year anniversary in May 2025. They’ve organized their self-produced event series “FXIRTRADE” at venues like CIRCUS TOKYO and solfa—handling everything in-house from booking and flyers to recording, mixing, and mastering.

With zero releases to date, their strategy of building momentum solely through live performances has made them a unique presence in the scene. Their debut album “Lost and Found them” is the culmination of songs born and evolved in those live moments.

From gritty, aggressive beats to soft, jazz-inflected flows, the album traverses diverse sonic textures while maintaining a unified artistic direction.
