looping second is an introspective mid-tempo track sung in English, marking a departure from her previously dance-oriented releases.
It captures the sensation of time that should be moving forward instead looping over a single moment—expressing that frustration and faint hope not through words, but through the very structure of the sound itself.
Built around her signature airy vocals and intricate choral arrangements, the soundscape of this track continues the lineage of past works like amaranthus and Secret, while reaching new depths of expression.

True to her words, the song unfolds without a clear progression, instead layering subtle variations within a repeating chord and melody to quietly portray emotional shifts and inner turmoil.
A fully self-produced work—written, composed, and recorded entirely by Kitamura herself.
For this release, Kitamura took full creative control—handling the songwriting, composition, performance, and recording all on her own.
Mixing and mastering were handled by Ayumu Musha, marking their first collaboration since her debut EP 500mm.
The vocals are enveloped in layered choruses, drawing the listener into an introspective soundscape. Kitamura’s own flute performance adds a sense of wavering stillness and spaciousness throughout the track.

As a continuation of January’s vivid:AM, this performance will offer a live re-experiencing of the atmosphere and sense of time embodied in looping second.

Just as Kitamura describes, each of her works is interconnected, forming a continuous “sonic trajectory” that unfolds with every release.
The concert title vivid:W̃M̃ is intended to visually represent a sound waveform—wave—serving as an attempt to make the invisible presence of sound vividly perceptible.
