Jakarta-based four-piece band Reality Club has returned with their brand new single “Quick! Love!”, released on May 30, 2025. The song is the first glimpse of their upcoming fourth album, scheduled for release later this year—and it’s a bold reintroduction.
Love, but keep it quiet — until it can’t be
“Quick! Love!“tells the story of two people in a secret relationship who must finally decide: keep it going, or let it go.
“I came across the word ‘clandestine’ while reading a book. I didn’t know what it meant at first, but once I looked it up, the song just started forming in my mind,” says vocalist Fathia Izzati, who wrote the track during a songwriting retreat in Bali.
The lyrics capture the emotional tension of a situationship—something many listeners, especially in Indonesia, may find deeply relatable.
A global collaboration, recorded live in Bangkok
To bring “Quick! Love!” to life, Reality Club enlisted LA-based producer Brad Oberhofer, known for his work with Nick Valensi(Strokes), Willow Smith, Mk.gee, and Dijon. In March 2025, they recorded the song live at Tree Recording Studio in Bangkok, alongside longtime collaborator Wisnu Ikhsantama.
“This was our first time recording live, all playing and singing together in one take,” says Faiz Novascotia Saripudin, who switched from guitar to keyboards for this track. “It brought a whole new energy to the process. And then we had an overdub day, where we just went wild adding all sorts of fun textures.”
Among those textures? A familiar voice saying “Hello, welcome!”—a sample captured from a popular local convenience store in Bangkok.。
“Quick! Love!” is a reintroduction
“This is probably the craziest track we’ve ever made,” says bassist Nugi Wicaksono.
According to the band, “Quick! Love!” isn’t just a new song—it’s a statement.
“It’s a reintroduction,” Faiz adds. “Our only rule is that all four of us need to love the song. That’s it. But with this one, we also wanted to show people a different side of us.”
Ready for the stage
The band hasn’t played the song live yet, but they’re itching to.
“Even in the studio, it felt like something we’d love to play on stage,” says drummer Era Patigo. “It’s energetic, it’s unpredictable—and we think fans are going to have a blast with it.”
The start of something bigger
With its shifting moods, punchy vocals, and playful chaos, “Quick! Love!” sets the tone for Reality Club’s next chapter.
“I just hope people can enjoy the song and feel seen,” says Fathia. “There are so many secret love stories out there. This one’s for you.”
